Workforce Solutions of Central Texas Appoints Larry Anglin as New Vice Chair
HAMILTON, Texas – The Workforce Solutions of Central Texas Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Larry Anglin has agreed to serve as the new Board Vice Chair beginning in July 2021. As a private sector business person representing Hamilton County, his contributions have added a rural perspective that might have otherwise been overshadowed by a focus on larger businesses and economies.
Larry’s focus on bringing people and jobs together in Central Texas is echoed throughout his tenure on the Workforce Board. He began serving on the Board of Directors for Workforce Solutions of Central Texas in February 2001, and, today he continues to actively representing rural communities and focusing on economic and workforce development opportunities. Larry also served as Board Chair from 2009 to 2011 and 2014 to 2018. Further demonstrating Larry’s commitment to sustaining and expanding workforce development in rural areas, he drives 140 miles round trip to attend monthly Workforce Board meetings.
A champion of local economic activities and workforce development, Larry’s dedication likely stems from the fact that he grew up in Hamilton. Graduating from Hamilton High School in 1981, he went on to get his electrical engineering degree at the University of Texas in Austin. Larry retired at the age of 32, exercising stock options when National Instruments went public and returning home to raise his children, Audrey and Zachary, with his wife Robin. Today, he is the president of his own business, Anglin Analytics, LLC, in Hamilton, Texas.
Regarding the new position, Larry stated, “I am honored to have been selected to serve as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Workforce Solutions of Central Texas. I consider my years on the Board to be the highlight of my public service and look forward to serving in whatever capacity my colleagues deem best for years to come.”
Anglin’s return to the board was welcomed with excitement as Workforce Solutions continues to grow and serve the local community.
