Military & Veteran Services

Employment is key to veterans transitioning into rewarding careers. This is why Workforce Solutions of Central Texas, the Texas Workforce Commission, and the Texas Veterans Commission work together to provide employment, training, and related services free of charge to eligible veterans, transitioning service members, and their spouses. WSCT staff can help:
  • Inform you of opportunities to earn credentials
  • Offer referrals to jobs in high-demand careers.
  • Connect you directly to veteran-friendly employers hiring now
  • Assess how the skills you gained serving our country can transfer to civilian careers
We provide priority of service to job seekers who identify as veterans, transitioning service members, or spouse of a veteran upon arriving at one of our locations. To find out you preference eligibility, answer a few questions on the Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Preference Advisor.
