COPPERAS COVE, Texas – Workforce Solutions of Central Texas is proud to announce its role in approving Texas Jobs and Education for Texans (JET) grants worth more than $300,000 for Copperas Cove Independent School District (CCISD).
The grants will fund the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment and technology to enhance CCISD’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) program and provide students with the skills necessary for success in high-demand industries.
A portion of the grants will be used to further train high school students in the manufacturing career pathway. Funding will help purchase and install equipment to serve 208 students and provide training in the occupations of Packaging & Filling Machine Operators and Tenders, according to the district.
Workforce Solutions of Central Texas continues to partner and support CCISD through various programs, while providing students with information about educational opportunities, local labor market demand, and career information to help them make sound career decisions that lead to marketable skills after graduation.

Funding from the grant will also help purchase and install equipment for students training in the occupations of Nursery and Greenhouse Management.
CCISD was the only Central Texas school district to receive a JET grant.
