WSCT to Host Hiring Event at Multiple Career Centers

BELTON, Texas – In an effort to connect central Texas residents to open positions in the area, Workforce Solutions of Central Texas is uniting employers and residents by hosting the Spring Forward Hiring Event on Wednesday, February 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at our career centers in Killeen, Temple, Lampasas and Rockdale.

As layoff announcements continue across the country, thousands of jobs still need to be filled in central Texas. Last month, there was a total of 4,330 unique job postings with an advertised median salary of $19.38 per hour, which is above the living wage in central Texas.

The hiring event will be held simultaneously at our four career centers. More than 40 employers are scheduled to participate.

“We are thrilled to be able to bring this event to four different career centers across Central Texas,” said Charley Ayres, Director of Industry/Education Partnerships at Workforce Solutions of Central Texas. “Our goal is to connect job seekers with employers and provide them with the resources they need to succeed in their job search.”

Individuals are encouraged to bring a resume and dress professionally. No registration is required.

The Spring Forward Hiring Event is a partnership with Texas Veterans Commission.
