Workforce Solutions of Central Texas Appoints Kevin Roberts as New Board Chair
KILLEEN, Texas – The Workforce Solutions of Central Texas Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Kevin Roberts, President/CEO of AdventHealth Central Texas, has agreed to serve as the new Chairman of the Board beginning in July 2021. Roberts was selected as a private-sector business representative on the Board of Directors for Workforce Solutions of Central Texas in April 2019, and he served as Vice-Chair from July 2020 through June 2021.
When he was named and the CEO of the Adventist Health System on September 24, 2018, Roberts assumed leadership of both Metroplex Adventist Hospital and Rollins Brook Community Hospital. A results oriented Chief Executive Officer with decades of progressive leadership in faith-based, for-profit and not-for-profit healthcare organizations, Roberts is known for creating high-performing executive teams by delegating authority, accountability, and rewarding/recognizing others.
Prior to coming to Central Texas, Roberts spent more than 20 years with Adventist Health, which operates facilities on the West Coast and Hawaii, and also previously served as president/CEO for Adventist Health Glendale, a 500-plus bed hospital in the Los Angeles, California, area. His experience also includes serving in leadership roles as president/CEO for Castle Medical Center in Kailua, Hawaii, and chief operating officer and chief nursing officer for South Coast Medical Center in Laguna Beach, California.
Roberts earned a master’s degree in public administration and health services administration from the University of San Francisco, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from California State University, Sacramento, and an associate degree in nursing from Pacific Union College. Demonstrating his commitment to quality systems, he is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a registered nurse in the state of California.

Roberts is new to Texas and is joined by his wife Alena. They have two adult children and five grandchildren.
