Workforce Solutions of Central Texas Announces Dr. Linda Angel as New President and CEO
BELTON, TX — The Workforce Solutions of Central Texas Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Linda Angel as the new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Dr. Angel, a dedicated leader with more than 30 years of workforce development experience, has played a pivotal role in advancing workforce programs across Central Texas.
Dr. Angel has served as the Deputy Executive Director for Workforce Solutions of Central Texas, where she oversaw quality initiatives, performance management, grant and project development, research, and strategic planning for numerous workforce programs. Her leadership has been instrumental in managing a $40 million budget that has expanded workforce services and opportunities throughout the region.

Dr. Angel’s Notable Accomplishments:
- Led quality initiatives and performance management strategies for a $40 million workforce development budget.
- Served as an Examiner, Board of Overseers member, and Judge for the Texas Quality Foundation.
- Developed and implemented employee development systems aligned with U.S. Department of Labor Apprenticeship licensure standards.
- Oversaw strategic planning and research initiatives to enhance workforce programs across Central Texas.
- Published multiple articles on workforce development, quality improvement, and customer satisfaction.
- Provided leadership and guidance to multiple workforce and economic development boards.
- Served in key advisory roles supporting transitioning service members and military families through workforce partnerships with Fort Cavazos Transition Assistance Program.
- Recognized as a Foundation Fellow by the Texas Quality Foundation in 2019.
Dr. Angel succeeds Susan Kamas, who spent 36 years of dedicated leadership in Central Texas. As she steps into this role, she remains committed to expanding partnerships, driving workforce innovation, and enhancing services that empower businesses and job seekers throughout Central Texas.
