Temple Machine Shop Wins Award at Texas Workforce Conference
TEMPLE – Workforce Solutions of Central Texas is proud to recognize Temple Machine Shop as the region’s 2025 Local Employer of Excellence. Temple Machine Shop accepted the award at the Texas Workforce Commission’s (TWC) 28th Annual Texas Workforce Conference held Dec. 3 – Dec. 5, 2025, in Corpus Christi. Local Workforce Development Boards nominate employers who make a positive impact on workers, the community, and the state through their partnerships with Texas Workforce Solutions.
Temple Machine Shop was recognized for its sustained commitment to workforce development, community engagement, and education partnerships across Central Texas. Known for its rapid response in support of displaced workers, the company actively hires skilled machinists and individuals impacted by layoffs at other local employers. Its leadership works closely with Workforce Solutions of Central Texas to identify and assist dislocated workers in securing new career opportunities.
In addition, Temple Machine Shop remains a strong supporter of the veteran community. Five disabled veterans, representing five percent of the company’s workforce, are currently employed across its operations. The company partners with the Texas Veterans Commission and Heroes MAKE America and participates in veteran-focused hiring events, including Hiring Red, White & You.
Temple Machine Shop also collaborates with Temple ISD and Belton ISD to help prepare the region’s future workforce by taking part in career days, advisory committees, and student internship programs.
“Companies like Temple Machine Shop are helping to build a more prosperous Texas through their commitment to responsible business practices and meaningful community engagement,” said TWC Commissioner Representing the Public Brent Connett. “TWC recognizes and applauds Temple Machine Shop’s efforts to make positive impacts on employees, their families, and the entire Lone Star State.”
